Volunteers are a core part of our ability to meet the legal needs of our clients. More than 100 of the region's private attorneys, and many law students, retired professionals, paralegals and undergrads, help us help the region's poor. More than a quarter of a million dollars in volunteer time is donated to the program every year. Volunteering at NLS is an extraordinarily rewarding experience for those who participate. Many say it is their favorite part of their professional experience. Regardless of your personal circumstances, we can develop a volunteer opportunity that is consistent with your knowledge and skills, your available time and your area of interest.
